Consider/Approve Janitorial Supplies Bid for the 2017 – 2018 School Year

Background Information:

In addition to advertising, bids were solicited and received from J.D. Distributors, Central Poly, American Paper and Twine, and AVM Enterprises for the purchase of janitorial supplies for the 2017 – 2018 school year. Funds will be budgeted in the General Purpose School Fund for the 2017 – 2018 fiscal year for these purchases. Bids received for janitorial supplies are summarized on the attachment. Bid specifications are attached for your information.

The highlighted prices on the attached spreadsheet are the bids recommended for Board approval. If the low bid is not being recommended, an explanation justifying the recommendation is supplied in the comments column.

Staff Recommendation:

I agree with Mr. Graham’s recommendations and recommend acceptance of the bids as indicated. With this approval, it is the intent of the Board and management that no liability will be incurred, nor a purchase order issued, until the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2017.
